Amazon Fire TV to rival Apple TV and Google Chromecast: Free games include Minecraft, Walking Dead, Monsters University

Amazon released its all new Amazon Fire TV box today. Much like the popular Apple TV, the Amazon Fire TV is a small box that plugs into your HDTV for easy access to Netflix, Amazon's Prime Instant Video, Hulu, WatchESPN, movie rentals and more.

The Amazon Fire TV is priced at $99 and comes with access to over 40,000 Prime Instant Videos, including 200,000 TV episodes and movies.

The Fire TV also comes with a voice search where users can just search through saying the name of an actor, movie title, genre and more.

The box packs a powerful quad-core processor with dedicated GPU, 2 GB memory, dual-band Wi-fi, HD 1080p video, Dolby Digital Plus and more.

The Fire TV also lets you play video games such as Minecraft, Walking Dead, Monsters University and Sev Zero for free. Over a hundred games are also available to purchase priced at an average of $1.85.

The Amazon Fire TV is currently available to purchase on Amazon.com.
