7 scriptures on God's miraculous healing

Last week, I and my wife had to rush our daughter Alexa to the emergency room after she got dehydrated. We were told even before the doctor arrived that we were going to have to get ready to have our daughter confined in a hospital room for at least three nights as per standard procedure in dehydration cases amongst toddlers.

Automatically, I knew what to do -- get an intercessory team activated to start praying for healing of Alexa's dehydration. We woke up the next day to the visit of a doctor and she was partially in shock over the fact that there was nothing wrong with our daughter. We could only conclude one thing: God had healed our daughter miraculously.

God has always been one to move in miraculous ways that defy reason and logic. He does this to show us that He is powerful and above every situation. Through sickness and trial, we are called to put our faith in God knowing that He can come through for us.

When believing God for healing, it's never about the amount of our faith, the severity of the illness or the presence of sin issues in a sick person's life. All that matters in believing in miraculous healing is the faithfulness of God, and we can be assured that God is always faithful and able to heal every sickness and disease.

Here are seven scriptures that help build the assurance we have in God that He will be faithful and able to heal every disease and infirmity.

2 Kings 20:5. Turn back, and say to Hezekiah, the leader of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.

Job 5:18. For he wounds, but he binds up; he shatters, but his hands heal.

Psalms 6:2. Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.

Matthew 8:7-8. And he said to him, "I will come and heal him." But the centurion replied, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed."

Matthew 10:1. And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.

Matthew 17:18. And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly.

Luke 5:17. On one of those days, as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with him to heal.
