5 Bible verses for times of uncertainty and double-mindedness

Double-mindedness may be common in a time of uncertainty, but it doesn't mean that it's good and healthy. While it's understandable that our thoughts and opinions can be swayed in times where we feel unsure of what to do, we need to understand that having no secure footing can be very dangerous to our lives.

Some of us, when going through times of shaking, end up making the wrong decisions in life. We allow fear and doubt to dictate what we choose, and because of this we end up regretting our very own decisions later on.

Friends, we must never allow ourselves to be swayed by uncertainty. We must build ourselves up and found ourselves on the rock that is the Lord Jesus Christ!

In this article we'll find a few Bible verses that will help us stand fast against all the waves that crash against us and attempt to dislodge us from our establishing a firm footing in the Lord.

It is my prayer that all of us would find our security in Him.

Here are some Bible verses for times of uncertainty and double-mindedness.

Allow God to search your heart and lead you in His ways - Psalm 139:23-24

"Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

Choose to serve the Lord even while others don't want to - Joshua 24:14-15

"Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Stand fast on the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ - Matthew 7:24-25

"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock."

Let nothing move you from believing in Christ Jesus - 1 Corinthians 15:56-58

"The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."

Christ is coming back real soon, and we should keep living for Him - Revelation 22:12-13

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last."
