For fans who have been waiting for the release of "Gran Turismo Sport" for PlayStation (PS) 4, there is more to it than driving numerous virtual cars. The ingenious team behind the racing game have come up with a marketing strategy to capture everyone's attention: providing a bundle that includes an actual car.

The Taiwanese release of the "Gran Turismo Sport" by Polyphony Digital came with a huge surprise and was priced at $46,000, or 1,398,000 New Taiwan Dollars. Although the price may seem exorbitant, this is because the bundle includes a PS4 Pro, PS VR, a Thrustmaster T-GT steering wheel, a Sony Bravia 4K HDR TV, PS Plus subscription for 12 months, a racing chair, the game, and most importantly, a 2018 Mazda MX-5.

Polygon reported that if the items in this bundle were to be bought separately, the items would only total $36,218, saving buyers more or less $10,000. The limited edition car was believed to be the reason for the higher price tag of the bundle, as the vehicle in the official bundle had been customized with a "PS4" on its grille and stripes paint job.

Given the cheaper alternative to the bundle, some would expect the official Taiwan promo to go unsold. However, the member of NeoGAF who uploaded the announcement said that the only set offered was already purchased by a car collector. For those hoping to snatch the deal, there is no announcement as of yet if there would still be bundles to be sold in the future.

A similar promo was previously seen with the 2015 "Dying Light" Apocalypse Edition priced at $386,000. The collector's edition included survival parkour lessons, a zombie-proof lodge, and a trip to Poland for a meet and greet with the developers, among many others.

The game "Gran Turismo Sport" is now available on the market. It is priced at $59.99.
