While the global populace believes that Xiaomi would be unveiling its elusive Mi 5 smartphone, the Chinese firm is rolling out the Mi Note Pro, which will be taking on flagship devices such as Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 and Apple's iPhone 6 Plus. However, specifications-wise, the Mi Note Pro is no different when it comes to the specifications that were rumored to be present on the Mi 5.

First off, the Mi Note Pro's Snapdragon 810 SoC will be able to bulldoze through the Snapdragon 805 found in the Note 4 and the A9 chipset present on the iPhone 6 Plus. The Snapdragon 810 chipset also features a 64-bit quad-core processor that is compatible with 64-bit architecture, something that the Galaxy Note 4's processor cannot support.

The Mi Note Pro's screen size ((5.7 inches) and resolution (1440 pixels) are equivalent to the Note 4's and exceed that of the iPhone 6 Plus. Additionally, it's only the second smartphone in the world to house 4 GB of RAM, the first one being Asus' Zenfone that was showcased at this year's CES 2015. In comparison, the Note 4 possesses 3 GB of RAM while the iPhone 6 Plus houses 1 GB of RAM.

While the device is void of a microSD slot just like the company's previous flagships, Xiaomi has incorporated a larger amount of internal storage of 64 GB this time. The Note 4, on the other hand, has a microSD slot with a capacity limit of 128 GB coupled with 32 GB of internal memory. Staying true to the features of the company's previous iPhones, Apple's iPhone 6 Plus is also void of a microSD slot but is currently being shipped in the 16, 64 and 128 GB capacity variants.

The Mi Note Pro also boasts a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor, while the Note 4 is equipped with a 16-megapixel shooter and the iPhone 6 Plus comes with an 8-megapixel sensor. The Note 4 has the largest battery capacity of all three devices, coming out on top with 3220 mAh, followed by the Mi Note Pro with 3090 mAh, and finally, the iPhone 6 Plus with 2915 mAh.

One of the reasons why Xiaomi is predicted to have the same success it had achieved with the Mi 4 is because the Mi Note 4 reportedly features a price tag of just $370 while possessing hardware specifications that will easily nip past the more expensive Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 Plus.
