The survival horror gaming title "The Evil Within," which was released by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks on Oct. 14, 2014, released a DLC that was titled "The Assignment," where instead of controlling the game's original protagonist Sebastian Castellanos, players would experience a different form of gameplay with rookie detective, Juli Kidman. After players complete the ending of the "The Assignment," another name pops up titled "The Consequence," just before the rolling of the credits, indicating that a follow up DLC will be available.

According to Bio Gamer Girl, "The Consequence" will release later this month and players will continue to experience the different form of immersion with Juli Kidman. One difference between the primary storyline gameplay and the plot of the DLC's is that players must take advantage of the stealth mechanic coupled with distraction techniques more effectively in order to evade or eliminate hostile NPCs present in the game. Unlike "The Evil Within," where players were given a whole range of weapons to choose from, it appears that "The Consequence" will be following the same suit as "The Assignment."

As far as the plot of the follow up DLC goes, it appears that Juli Kidman will be compelled not to complete the task given to her by the secret organization known as Mobius, where Kidman is employed as a double agent. Instead, it is expected that she will be using Leslie Withers as a token to gain her freedom from the apocalyptic world that Ruvik's mind has created. Ruvik is the game's primary antagonist and he too, will be looking to get a hold a Leslie in order to free himself from the mental prison and get revenge on those who betrayed him. In addition to the "The Consequence" DLC, gamers can also play as The Keeper, the monstrosity that was encountered in the original plot of the game.

"The Consequence" will be available to play on Microsoft Windows, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
