Skype for Android allows users to share items with offline contacts

Skype has a special treat for Android device users because the latest update rolled out for Google's mobile operating system will allow them to share items such as photos with their contacts who are not online at that particular time. The developing geniuses responsible for creating Microsoft's VoIP application have updated the app to version 5.2, which is the version that will allow users to perform the aforementioned functions.

Previously, it was mandatory for both the sender and the recipient to be online in order to share content with one another, but with the latest update, sharing content with each other will be less cumbersome. But while a sender can send an item even when the recipient is offline, the recipient will not be able to download it until and unless they appear online.

In addition to this flexible feature, images will also be uploaded a lot faster compared to previous updates. Furthermore, additional bug fixes in order to improve overall call quality have been included in the update.

Android device users who currently do not have the latest update installed and have not received the notification on their devices can head down to Google's Play Store and tap on "update" in order to get the latest version of the app.

Skype is one of those communication applications that feature every single requirement that needs to be assimilated into a VoIP app. Not only is the application multiplatform, it also syncs the content, contacts and chat history from one platform to the other, negating the need for users to waste an exorbitant number of hours in finding material from one specific machine.
