"Rise of the Tomb Raider," the gaming title which serves as the direct sequel to the 2013's "Tomb Raider," had its official release date caught up in limbo.

The release date of the title is said to have been set for Dec. 15, but there is a high probability that the title would be pushed to a later date. So far, the current release date for "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is Holiday 2015, but since there have been no details besides that, gamers should be keeping an eye out from the month of October until the month of December.

During the Gamescom 2014, it was revealed that the upcoming title would be exclusive to Xbox consoles only, but as the title nears its release date, it was stated that it will only be a timed exclusive. According to Eurogamer, the exclusivity of the game will only be temporary and it will be released for the remaining platforms after it has been rolled out for the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One.

"I have Tomb Raider shipping next holiday exclusively on Xbox. It is Xbox 360 and Xbox One," Xbox executive Phil Spencer told Eurogamer in an interview last year. " ... What they [Square Enix] do with the franchise in the long run is not mine. I don't control it. So all I can talk about is the deal I have. I don't know where else Tomb Raider goes."

He then clarified, "Yes, the deal has a duration."

Camilla Luddington, who provided her voice talents as well as her motion capture for the 2013 title, will be reprising her role as the young Lara Croft once more.

Currently, gamers can pre-order the upcoming title for a price of $60.00, but it is currently only available for the Xbox One console, with the post on Amazon stating that it will be released on Dec. 31.
