OnePlus, the Chinese startup company that rolled out the 'Nexus Killer' named OnePlus One is gearing up to release the successor of its aggressively priced smartphone, OnePlus Two. There will be several differences separating OnePlus One and its successor, with the most notable one being hardware specifications. OnePlus Two is expected to be incorporated with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810, since OnePlus One is running the company's previous generation SoC, Snapdragon 801.

Additionally, Gizmochina has reported that the upcoming device is also going to feature a highly advanced biometric scanner, which will no doubt provide the level of security that smartphone consumers are looking for. While the exact details of the biometric scanner have not been revealed, it is expected that the feature will be rivaling Apple's Touch ID interface. However, if OnePlus will be looking to incorporate additional features that will transform the experience for the user completely, then one of them would be an online transaction functionality through biometric verification.

According to TechnoBuffalo, the OnePlus Two's resolution will be increased to 2048 by 1536 pixels, which is much higher compared to the 1080p resolution present on OnePlus One. Since Snapdragon 810 possesses a power hungry processor named ARM Cortex-A57 CPU (which consumer 250 percent more power compared to Cortex-A53), OnePlus Two will most likely be assimilating a large battery pack in order to provide sufficient battery life to consumers. Furthermore, the OnePlus Two is also being rumored to possess 4 GB of RAM, which is a whole gigabyte more than OnePlus One's RAM amount.

Most importantly, the company will be looking to incorporate a microSD slot, which is a feature completely void on OnePlus One. If the tech firm is unable to come out with an effective contender against the remainder of its rival's offerings, then it appears that affordable smartphones like the $145 Lenovo K3 Note will have a much comfortable time in dominating the market.

OnePlus Two is expected to be released in Q3, 2015.
