LG G Note release date: LG G4 phablet with stylus expected to release in Q3 2015

After LG unveiled the successor of its G Flex smartphone, the G Flex 2, at the Consumer Electronics Show held in 2015, the South Korean phone maker is poised to announce the successor of its G3 smartphone in Q3 2015. The upcoming smartphone is expected to carry a large screen size, and from the looks of it, LG might be looking to incorporate a display that is larger than its G3 offering, which possesses a whopping 5.5 inch IPS panel.

According to PhoneArena, the company's CEO of mobile business , Cho Jun-ho told attendees at a press conference that the company is gearing up to release a device during the second half of 2015, which is expected to be Q3 2015. During the press conference, the executive stated that the smartphone will be considered to be a much better performer than expected and will be positioned higher than the remainder of the handsets categorized under the G-series lineup.

According to The Korean Herald, LG is on its way to producing a smartphone that will be belonging to the G Note category. The website states that the company recently applied for a trademark over the name in its home country of South Korea, which is further evidence that the firm is working on producing a brand new smartphone sporting a different name. Since LG has already rolled out a high performer belonging to the G Flex lineup (a smartphone which is running the Snapdragon 810 SoC along with 2 GB of RAM), it would be considered pointless if LG were to release another device sporting the same screen size and hardware specifications.

Information on PhoneArena related to a leak revealed that a mysterious device codenamed LS770 has passed through the FCC, sporting the 5.8 inch screen size as well as a stylus. While no confirmations have been made by LG, the aforementioned codename might be a device that will be the firm's upcoming flagship phablet. More information concerning the smartphone will be revealed once the device nears its launch date.
