iOS 8.1.3 release date this week or next

Apple is reportedly working on its next iOS 8 software update, the iOS 8.1.3, and is looking to release it next week in order to mitigate the amount of issues that iOS users have had to put up with ever since they updated their devices to the company's previous update.

While the iOS 8.1.3 will be released imminently, the company has not given word on whether or not it will be tested for bugs and other issues by developers before being released publicly. However, MacRumors reported that Apple has already rolled out the iOS 8.1.3 update to many employees ahead of its official release date, which could mean that Apple will be skipping the iOS 8.1.3 beta.

The most recent update rolled out to the public was the iOS 8.1.2, which addressed some issues such as disappearing ringtones, degradation in battery life, and problems in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Regardless, some users are still commenting that their devices are plagued with the same issues, prompting Apple to release the iOS 8.1.3, which can be considered to be extension of the previous build.

Apple's next major iOS update will be rolled out alongside the Apple Watch. The company is already on its third beta seed for iOS 8.2, which includes major bug fixes, overall performance improvements and new features. Apple has also been involved in an extensive beta program for the update, and the tech firm will be looking to address performance issues that have stuck around for a very long period of time. iOS 8.2 includes the WatchKit software development kit, which is currently being used by developers in order to make compatible and optimized apps for the Apple Watch.

Apple has faced slower adoption rates with the iOS 8 when compared to iOS 7 due to the number of issues being experienced by iOS users.
