'Hyrule Warriors Majora's Mask Pack' DLC release date, details

While "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D" is currently being readied for a release in February for the Nintendo 3DS handheld console, the original "Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warrior's" will be catering to Wii users with the release of the "Majora's Mask Pack" DLC, which includes several new augmentations that gamers can take advantage of. 

With this DLC, gamers will be able to play as Young Link. It includes using power from the demon's mask. While his combat effectiveness is unimpressive while he is not wearing the mask, wearing it will boost the strength of Young Link's attacks and his overall combat effectiveness will be increased to new levels. 

Apart from Young Link, players will also be able to control Tingle, a 35 year-old bachelor who is in the reincarnation of a fairy. Featuring a repertoire of abilities that are different from Young Link's, players will be able to experience to new form of combat with this character. 

The "Hyrule Warriors: Majora's Mask Pack" DLC also includes a new adventure mode map called Termina, and players will be given new costumes to change the attire of their controlled avatar.  It includes Era of the Hero of Time Outfits for Impa and Shiek as well as Skull Kid's Clothes for Lana. 

The "Majora's Mask Pack" DLC for "Hyrule Warriors" can be purchased for $7.99 and will be available on Feb. 25. 

Gematsu also reported that Nintendo will roll out version 1.5.0 of "Hyrule Warriors" on the same date. Expected improvements, according to the website, include:

  • Maximum level increased
  • New mixing materials
  • New medals
  • New weapon skills
  • Updated Junk Store added
  • Updated Adventure Mode information screen

In the Junk Store, gamers will have new options such as "Skills Cancellation," "Skills Advice," and "Weapons Sale." In the adventure mode, options such as "Damage Taken" and "Retry from the Beginning" have been added.
