After continuing with the "Star Wars" franchise, Disney seems to be moving in the right direction. And now, the company is said to be aiming to revive the "Indiana Jones" franchise, which is rumored to star none other than Chris Pratt. After appearing as Star-Lord in "Guardians of the Galaxy," Pratt will also be appearing in the latest saga of "Jurassic Park."

According to Deadline, things are at an early stage and while it has not been confirmed, Pratt is currently being triangulated as the man that will resurrect one of the industry's most successful blockbuster action series. However, before fans get thoroughly excited, they should be informed that during these early stages, there is no information on what role he will be playing, if at all — will he be taking Harrison Ford's place as the legendary Indiana Jones or will he be taking up the role of a minor character? All details currently remain in the dark.

With Ford reportedly out of the picture, it is possible that Pratt is being tapped to fill his shoes as the franchise is reportedly going to be rebooted. However, if the action series moves forward, it should not come as a surprise to fans. This is because in 2013, the Walt Disney Company had finished a deal with Paramount Pictures. The details of the deal stated that Disney would be given complete control of the "Indiana Jones" franchise.

Pratt will be seen in "Jurassic World," to be shown on June 12, while Ford will be returning to the big screen as Han Solo in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," to be shown on Dec. 18.
