Andrae Crouch, whose influence on gospel music was profound.

The funeral and memorial service of late Gospel legend Andraé Crouch took place Jan. 20 and will continue on Jan. 21 at West Angeles Church of God In Christ in Los Angeles, California.

Both services will be streamed live at BET.com/andraecrouchfuneral.

Today's Celebration of Life funeral service is set to begin at 11a.m PST. Bishop Kenneth Ulmer will be officiating the funeral, and Pastor Marvin Winans will be giving the eulogy. Performances and appearances will be made by Rev. Jesse Jackson, Dr. Bobby Jones, Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, BeBe Winans, Shirley Ceasar, Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker, Ledisi, Bryan Duncan, Yolanda Adams, Kurt Carr, Donald Lawrence, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Kim Burrell, Byron Cage, Edwin Hawkins, Lynette Hawkins-Stephens, David and Nicole Binion, Erica Campbell, Smokey Norful, Richard Smallwood, Israel Houghton, Tata Vega and an 80-voice choir. Members of the choir have sang with Crouch throughout the years and are flying in from all over the world for the funeral.

The funeral will also feature video tributes by Bishop T.D. Jakes, Kenneth Copeland, Michael W. Smith, The Pointer Sisters, Bill Gaither, The Winans Family, Bishop Clarence McClendon and Bishop Noel Jones.

Crouch, 72, was hospitalised on Jan. 3 for undisclosed health issues, but it had been hoped he would make a full recovery. He died around 4.30pm on Jan. 8 at the Northridge Hospital Medical Centre in the Los Angeles area.

Crouch was inducted in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and is credited for revolutionizing gospel music with the introduction of contemporary influences to the genre.

Crouch's career highlights included his collaboration with Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Diana Ross and Elton John among other iconic artists.

He notched up seven wins in the Grammy Awards from 1975-1994 for Best Contemporary Soul Albums and Performances. He worked on music for classic films like The Lion King, A Time to Kill and The Color Purple, and was nominated for an Oscar for his compositions.
