Chinese tech firm Huawei unveiled its MediaPad X2 at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015. While the slate possesses a smaller screen size compared to Xiaomi's Mi Pad (7.9 inches) and Google's Nexus 9 (8.9 inches), the newly announced tablet is still a powerhouse when it comes to rendering images, videos and games smoothly on its 1920 by 1200 pixel resolution. In comparison, the Mi Pad possesses the same resolutions as the Nexus 9, which is 2048 by 1536.

The MediaPad X2 also possesses the functionality to accommodate two carrier SIMs while Nexus 9 only presents that option if consumers purchase its LTE variant, which naturally costs more compared to the regular version (The 32 GB LTE model is currently retailing for $599). Xiaomi's offering does not possess such a connectivity feature, although the Mi Pad and MediaPad X2 allows users to expand their storage up to 128 GB via a microSD card, a feature that is void on the Nexus 9.

Huawei's MediaPad X2 also possesses more RAM compared to the remaining contenders (3 GB if users opt to purchase the 32 GB internal memory model) although its comes short in performance when facing the might of NVIDIA's Tegra K1 chipset present in the Mi Pad and Nexus 9. The Nexus 9 might be equipped with the same chipset as the Mi Pad but it is features a more powerful CPU (64 bit capable Denver processor compared to the Mi Pad's quad-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A15).

Unfortunately, Huawei's wireless adapter does not carry sufficient punch, as it only possesses the 802.11 n adapter. In comparison, the remaining two contenders possess the 802.11 ac wireless standard adapter. However, where the MediaPad X2 is able to outshine both larger screen slates is image taking and video recording categories. Armed with a 13 MP rear shooter (the Mi Pad and Nexus 9 both possess an 8 MP rear camera), the MediaPad X2 is able to snap still images at a maximum resolution of 4160 x 3120 pixels. According to the details present on GSMArena, the MediaPad X2 carries a price tag of $419 in the European region for the 32 GB/3 GB RAM model, while the Mi Pad's price is $276 followed by the Nexus 9, for is $599 (for the LTE model).

After looking closely at all three tablets, the Mi Pad delivers the best possible price/performance ratio to the user thanks to the company's unbeatable pricing strategy.
