Mac users will be getting a treat soon as game developer EA Maxis stated that "The Sims 4" will have a Mac version next month. In addition to being ported out to the new operating system, the life simulation video game will also be getting the "Outdoor Retreat Game Pack" that is expected to be released during the same time the title will be rolled out for the Mac operating system.

The game developing and publishing company has not given an exact release date, but EA executives stated that the game will be rolled out in February 2015. Furthermore, "The Sims 4" will carry the same price tag on the Mac as it does with the PC version. PC gamers who are currently in possession of "The Sims 4" will be getting a copy of the game for the Mac version, free of charge.

Gamers who are intending on purchasing the title for their Mac platform should be well informed that they will not be able to purchase physical copies of the game and that a unique digital key will be assigned to each player after they purchase the title.

EA's habit of not making it easy for gamers to share their "Sims 4" progress between multiple PCs has been considered immutable, up until now. Gamers will be able to effortlessly save their files from PC to MAC and vice-versa without experiencing a loss of progress on either platforms.

As for the "Outdoor Retreat Game Pack," EA has stated that the downloadable content will carry a price tag of $19.99. The DLC will feature additional content, allowing players to control their Sims avatars on outdoor trips and adventures.
