The Super Bowl XLIX matchup will be taking place between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Fans can hope to enjoy the best of both the sports and film worlds because apart from enjoying the game, movie buffs can also get a taste of the flicks that will be screened in theatres in the foreseeable future.

Perhaps one of the most anticipated trailers is that of the superhero film "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." According to Comicbook.com, there has been a lot of buzz regarding an upcoming trailer for the DC movie, and unveiling it in a big event like the Super Bowl could be a way for Warner Bros. to show that it is ready to go head-to-head with Marvel.

No doubt fans will be looking out for the film that will be hitting theatres on March 25, 2016, but according to Deadline, it is expected that the allocated time for commercials will also be making room for a whole list of movies. Given below is the list of movies next to their respective companies.

  1. Disney: "Tomorrowland"
  2. Universal: "Jurassic World," "Ted 2," "Minions," "Seventh Son"
  3. Paramount: "Terminator: Genisys," "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water"
  4. Lionsgate: "The Divergent Series: Insurgent" (pre-game trailer)
  5. 20th Century Fox: "Kingsman: The Secret Service" (pre-game trailer)

In addition to the aforementioned list, there is also a possibility that this year's summer offering, "Avengers: Age of Ultron," will be showing its trailer during commercial time, along with "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." While no news has come from Disney, it could be the company's way of keeping the fans at the edge of their seats.

"Furious 7" and "Pitch Perfect 2" are also expected to be making an appearance.
