While Samsung's much-rumored Galaxy S6 has yet to reach market shelves, the South Korean phone giant has released its A7 smartphone, a device comprising of a full metal chassis, in order to take on Apple's iPhone 6 and Xiaomi's Mi 4. The Galaxy A7 features the South Korean tech giant's homegrown Exynos 5433 chipset (featuring an octa-core processor) for the single SIM variant, and the Snapdragon 615 for the dual SIM variant.

In terms of performance, the Exynos 5433 chipset is able to zip past the Snapdragon 801 chipset present in the Mi 4, but will come short in attempting to take on the A8 chipset present in the iPhone 6. As for screen sizes, the Galaxy A7 features the largest at 5.5 inches, followed by the 5-inch screen of the Xiaomi Mi 4, and then the 4.7-inch on the iPhone 6.

Both the A7 and the Mi 4's screens are able to radiate a 1080p resolution while the iPhone 6 renders a 1334 x 750 resolution. Thanks to its optimized iOS 8 platform, the iPhone 6 is able to bulldoze through the two smartphones in terms of performance, despite being equipped with just a dual-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. When comparing the Mi 4 and the Galaxy A7, the Mi 4 will be able to grant more freedom to multi-tasking enthusiasts since it possesses 3 GB of RAM compared to the Galaxy A7's 2 GB.

The Mi 4 sports the largest battery pack, with 3080 mAh capacity, followed by the Galaxy A7 with 2600 mAh and the iPhone 6 with its miniscule 1810 mAh battery. Not surprisingly, the iPhone 6 is able to hold its own against the two devices due to its optimized operating system.

Xiaomi's Mi 4 offering is priced at a very aggressive level, retailing for just $369.99, while the Galaxy A7 carries a price tag of $600 (while being available in the colors pearl white, midnight black, and champagne gold) followed by the iPhone 6, which is placed on a whole new stratum of price tags —  $749.99 for the off-contract 16 GB variant.

In short, Xiaomi's Mi 4 would easily be the better option to purchase since it features flagship specifications in a nicely price tagged bundle. Of course, in the end, the choice depends on the consumer's personal preference, need, and budget.
