Rev. Run and "His Words of Wisdom"

|TOP|Rev. Run, also known as Joseph “Run” Simmons, recently released his book “Words of Wisdom: Daily Affirmations of Faith.”

Known for over two decades as one of the most respected pioneers of hip-hop, and a founding member of the ground-breaking group Run-DMC, Reverend Run now celebrates his faith and shares it with a newly emerging hip-hop generation.

From what started from a few emails to family members and friends, inspirational phrases that Simmons sent out had spread by word of mouth, causing him to publish the book.

Rev. Run shares his words of wisdom at the end of each episode with more than 32 million viewers, whom the show reached in its first season, making the show one of the top-rated on the MTV Network.
