'Persona 5' release date news and other details

"Persona 5," the upcoming role playing video game for the PlayStation platform (PS3 and PS4), is expected to be released later in the year on an unspecified date. The title is currently being developed and will be published by Atlus. According to Design and Trend, the developer has already released a 30-hour livestream footage that commenced on Feb. 4. Separate details about the upcoming title would be shown live on Feb. 5.

If PlayStation console owners want to make sure that they do not miss details of the livestream, they can visit the actual channel directly.

While there have been no details revealed regarding the title's protagonist, viewers of the series have started to refer to him as Potter due to his close resemblance to J.K. Rowling's character, Harry Potter. 

So far, the studio themselves have not yet pitched a release date but fans should keep an eye out this year since many deem that the title will roll out for Sony's PlayStation platform in the near future. "Persona 5" is going to be the fifth title in the "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona" series, and is part of the larger "Megami Tensei" series.
