"NBA 2K15" has taken a new turn as game developer Visual Concepts released locker codes along with additional gameplay elements that will augment the overall experience for console and PC gamers. Players can apply these codes at the Locker Codes page in the game in order to claim their rewards.

- IPLAYED2KTHIS2015: This code will grant 10,000 VC Points
- IMAPARKLEGEND: This code will grant 5,000 VC Points
- DROPPINGDIMES: Players will get random gift items
- LEGENDARY: This code will unlock a random item for MyCareer
- ALLTIMEGREAT: This will code will deliver 20 Contracts For MyTeam
Additionally, there was also an update for "NBA 2K15" that provides changes to overall player ratings as well as their positions in the game. Some important changes regarding players are given below.
- Derrick Rose: Overall (OVR) 86 (down 1), Standing Three -6, Moving Three -12, Moving Mid Range -3, Standing Mid Range -5
- Pau Gasol OVR 86 (up 2) Box Out +5, Offensive Consistency +10, Standing Mid Range +5, Stand Still Close +4, Moving Close +3
- Giannis Antetokounmpo OVR 78 (up 1), Driving Layup +7, Standing Mid Range -6, Shot FT +5
- Joakim Noah OVR 84 (down 1), Standing Layup -5, Standing Mid Range -2, Post Hook -6
After a certain period when "NBA 2K15" was released, there were some locker codes that were leaked on Twitter that are not included in the details above. If the player types "PINKARISTOTLE," then they would get the player Shaquille O'Neal. While the following code was replaced by the one mentioned above, it was revealed on Cyber Monday that if the player keys in "2KCYBERMONDAY," they would be granted 10,000 VC points. However, that code was only usable for a limited time and now, the player can only win 10,000 VC points if they type "IPLAYED2KTHIS2015."
