Microsoft Universal Foldable Keyboard release date, price: designed to be compatible with all smartphones and tablets

Apart from the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL, Microsoft was also able to unveil another product for the masses; one that will improve the overall efficiency of those who are looking for something to transform their smartphones and tablets in to miniature makeshift laptop. With Microsoft's Universal Foldable Keyboard, users will be able to do just that. All smartphones and tablets will be compatible with the Universal Foldable Keyboard since all of these devices possess a Bluetooth module. With the Bluetooth connectivity feature present inside the keyboard, devices will be able to sync with the slim wireless keyboard.

Microsoft has introduced a new level of portability because of the keyboard's ability to fold and be carried around at will. Thanks to a pair of magnets that are placed at opposite ends of the foldable device, users will be able to carry it comfortably. The Universal Foldable Keyboard features a wide range of interface buttons, such as audio controls, search functionality, and a unique feature that allows the keyboard to pair up to two devices at once.

If users have two devices connected to the keyboard, then they can switch between them with the single press of the button. While the keyboard presents some key features which will be beneficial for those who are constantly on the move, one of the biggest setbacks from the device was that it is void of a stand that allows users to mount their smartphone or tablet for a comfortable view. Instead, users will have to make do by purchasing a separate adjustable stand for their mobile devices. While this is a small obstacle that the user will have to scale, the battery life of the Universal Foldable Keyboard is spectacular.

The Bluetooth device will be able to last up to three months, afterwards it is going to have to be plugged in through a microUSB port placed on the side of the keyboard.

Microsoft states that the Universal Foldable Keyboard will cost $99.95 when it's released in July.
