Mel Gibson tops 'Most Powerful Christian in Hollywood' poll

|PIC1|The Passion of the Christ director Mel Gibson has topped a poll as the Most Powerful Christian in Hollywood.

Gibson, who has starred in Mad Max and Lethal Weapon, is a renowned devout Catholic, and has been identified by the poll as the most influential Christian star in the movie industry.

The poll was compiled by BeliefNet.com, and saw Oscar Award winner Denzel Washington come in at second place.

In third place came Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton.

American actor Tyler Perry, and famous Hollywood film producer Ralph Winter completed the poll's top five.
