The action adventure role playing series developed by BioWare is expected to get a sequel in the near future, but according to the latest details, it appears that "Mass Effect 4" will be getting released sooner than expected. According to WCCFtech, industry insider Shinobi602 has stated some valuable information concerning the release date of the upcoming video game:

"From people I've talked to close to the thing, it's still a 2016 release but haven't yet nailed down deciding between Spring or Fall. EA usually has multiple high-profile releases every year, and with Battlefield 5 targeting Q4 2016, for now until I hear more, I'm assuming earlier than Fall is the target. They did however release NFS Rivals and BF4 at the same time, so it could still be the Fall. Of course, delays are always possible with any game, but this thing's been in development since 2012. It won't skip next year."

According to Trusted Reviews, "Mass Effect 4" will not be arriving for previous generation consoles but will be available to play on PS4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. BioWare's General Manager Aaron Flynn has stated that the upcoming title will be visually breathtaking because it will be made on the FrostBite gaming engine, which happens to be the same engine that has made the "Battlefield" series so visually appealing.

The executive stated that the gaming studio's popular role-playing title, "Dragon Age: Inquisition," featured the same engine, which improved overall visual quality for both PC and console gamers.

As for the protagonist of the game, it is expected that players will be controlling a new character, ever since Commander Shepard supposedly perished in the aftermath of a cataclysmic event in an effort to defeat the Reaper race. For now, gamers should keep their calendars marked for Q4, 2016.
