The upcoming American science fiction film and the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park film series is expected to be held 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park. The islet called Isla Nublar, that is located near Costa Rica will be playing host to a fully functional dinosaur theme park, which has been titled Jurassic World.

The movie is being spearheaded by Colin Trevorrow and after being interviewed by Bleeding Cool, the director has this to say about his favorite dinosaur.

"What is my favorite dinosaur? We have a new one that's pretty cool. I'm not going to tell you anything about it, but... it's pretty badass. I think Jack Horner said something about that too... I feel like, obviously, everyone's favorite is the T-Rex and there's just something so iconic about that animal."

With the director stating his affinity towards the carnivorous reptile, it is highly possible that the upcoming movie might see the return of the creature, in a much different form. Rumor has it that the upcoming dinosaur will be a hybrid name Indominus Rex and while it might differ from the T-Rex in terms of appearance, it will be just as ferocious.

Entertainment Weekly was able to deliver a glimpse of the hybrid creature through images of a toy based on the Indominus Rex. While it has been essentially modelled after the T-Rex, there were a few differences separating the two creatures, such as the spikes protruding from the hybrid's body. According to the official Jurassic World website, the Indominus Rex is expected to be 50 feet tall and can run at speeds of 30 miles per hour, which should end up delivering a thrilling experience for the audience.

The Jurassic film series has been immensely successful in terms of both critical and financial terms. Garnering Box Office sales that exceed the $2 billion USD mark along with several novels, comic and video games to keep the franchise going, "Jurassic World," which is scheduled to be released on the June 12, 2015, will be attempting to replicate the same cinematic experience of the films that preceded it.
