iPhone 7 release date and specs: pre-installed Apple SIM and Force Touch feature coming?

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Apple

With 10 million combined sales of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the first three days since both smartphones were launched, Apple will be looking to keep the momentum swinging its way with an even better performing iPhone successor, which is rumored to being called the iPhone 6s, according to the information posted by BGR.

In addition to the model name of the upcoming smartphone, the website states that the next iPhone will be sporting 2 GB of RAM, which is the identical amount of memory that is present in the Cupertino tech company's flagship tablet, the iPad Air 2. What is even more exciting is that the device will be carrying a pre-installed Apple SIM. The concept of Apple's SIM card came with the release of the company's iPad Air 2.

According to Bidnessetc, the level of flexibility that the SIM will bring to the table will be extremely high because users will be given freedom in determining which carrier they want to place in the device as soon as they remove it from the packaging. While this will be thoroughly convenient, the company will most likely be gearing up to stand up to the strong resistance that will rise in the form of network carriers.

The same website also stated that the upcoming smartphone will feature a technology called Force Touch. This particular tech will be present in the company's upcoming wearable dubbed the iWatch and what it will do is incorporate the use of several tiny electrodes surrounding the device's Retina Display. This will transform the display in to a smarter one by distinguishing the difference between a light tap and a firm one. This distinguishing act will ultimately lead to a variety of gestures present in the upcoming smartphone, which will no doubt augment the entire experience.

Additional information regarding the tech will be debriefed when the company's iWatch is unveiled on March 9, 2015. As for the iPhone 6s/7, the smartphone currently has an unofficial release date, but it is likely to be revealed in October, a year after the launch of the wildly successful iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
