iOS 9 features: Bug fixes, stability and memory utilization

Apple's iOS 8 update

While Apple's iOS 8 update intended on improving the mobile experience for users to a whole new stratum, the update did not go in Apple's favor, since thousands of iPhone and iPad owners were plagued with issues that had an adverse effect on their overall battery life, not to mention intermittent disconnections with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections and many more.

The Cupertino tech company will be looking to make amends with the release of the iOS 9 update, which is expected to be showcased at Apple's WWDC event, which is scheduled to take place in June. According to 9to5Mac, the tech giant's primary concern will be to provide additional performance when iOS users update their devices to the new platform. Instead of assimilating new features to the abundant number already present in the platform, Apple's developers will be looking to focus on core stability fixes and performance improvements.

Furthermore, it is expected that the upcoming iOS 9 update will be catering to iOS device users who have a significantly low amount of memory in their devices. In short, the update will be paying special attention to memory utilization.

While Apple's processors are compatible with the 64 bit architecture, the operating system itself is not. iOS 9 is expected to be compatible with 64 bit processors, which will result in improved performance across the device. With 64 bit optimizations, the entire operating system and its respective applications can become fluid to the point where the user's experience will not be dismantled. Apple's iOS 8 might have featured a myriad of things, ranging from an improved Touch ID interface and Control Center, but it hampered the operating system, despite the fact that the mobile devices possessed impressive hardware specifications.

While Apple has not commented on the exact features that iOS 9 will possess, but the details will be present at the WWDC event.
