"God of War 3," the third person action adventure video game that was developed by Santa Monica Studio has a treat waiting for Sony's PS4 console owners in the form of "God of War 3: Remastered." According to Engadget, the developing studio has not stated any specific details concerning the upcoming video game, but on the PlayStation Blog, the following has been stated by Cory Barlog, the Creative Director at Sony Computer Entertainment's Santa Monica Studio:

"This action packed thrill ride of a game will take series newcomers and regulars alike on a retina-popping thrill ride filled to the absolute brim with 1080p gameplay, silky smooth combat, earth-shaking weapons, bosses you simply have to face to believe, and an all-new new photo mode so you can share those most tender of God of War moments, like stabbing a Minotaur in the frickin face, with your friends and loved ones. I highly recommend everyone grab a copy and play because whether you are new to the series or Spartan veterans, God of War III Remastered is one damn fine game."

Similar to the award winning 2013 title "The Last of Us," which rolled out a remastered version for the PS4, "God of War 3: Remastered" is also expected to provide improved visuals and a better capped frame rate for smooth gameplay sessions. The hack and slash title is set in an alternate version of ancient Greece that is filled with various entities ranging from Olympian Gods, Titans, to heroes, and several others. Similar to the previous titles, players will be taking control of Kratos, a Spartan warrior and demigod who was given the title of God of War after killing off Ares. The protagonist currently seeks revenge on the Greek God Zeus due to his betrayal.

"God of War 3: Remastered" is going to arrive on the PS4 on July 14, 2015.
