Evangelical Publisher Announces Christian Book Awards, Sponsors London Book Fair

The Christian Book Awards will be presented during the International Christian Retail Show 2006 in Denver, Colorado, in the week of July 9-13.

|TOP|Since 1978 the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association has recognised quality and encouraged
excellence by presenting the ECPA Christian Book Awards—formerly Gold Medallion— each year.

In 2005, ECPA awarded 20 winners in 20 distinct categories. Now there are six major categories for the Christian Book Awards – Bibles, Fiction, Children & Youth, Inspiration & Gift, Bible Reference & Study and Christian Life.

Recently, Integrity Publishers announced three finalists in the six categories of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s new Christian Book Awards for 2006. Integrity finalists include Max Lucado's It's Not About Me, Teen Edition in the Children & Youth category; Holding Heaven by Jerry Jenkins, featuring artist Ron DiCianni, in the Fiction category; and in the Inspiration & Gift category, God's Mirror by Max Lucado.

Lucado is the pulpit pastor of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas. Having more than 50 Christian books under his belt, he sold more than 28 million copies and has been nominated for numerous awards in the past.

|AD|In 2005 Integrity received three Gold Medallion awards - the second highest number of any publisher.

In addition, ECPA announced that they will represent Christian publishing at the London Book Fair by sponsoring exhibit space for their member publishers. The upcoming fair dates are scheduled for April 16-18, 2007.

The London Book Fair will be held at Earls Court, located in the popular West End of London.

The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association is an international, not-for-profit, trade organisation serving its industry by promoting excellence and professionalism, sharing relevant data, stimulating Christian fellowship, raising the effectiveness of member houses, and equipping them to meet the needs of the changing marketplace.
