Now that they are mothers themselves, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald are more aware of the hardships and sacrifices made on their own behalf by their mother Michelle Duggar from "19 Kids and Counting." To show their gratitude, the two girls showered their mother with the sweetest greetings as she celebrated her birthday recently.
"You are such an example to all of us young moms and someone I aspire to be like! You're not only my mom but one of my best friends! I am so grateful to God for you and your love for Him!" Jill writes on her blog.
Jill says she appreciates her mother's sweet, gracious spirit. Michelle always knows the right time to comfort her kids and reproach them when needed. Because of her mother's joyful attitude, Jill says their home is always a happy one.
Jill also finds inspiration from the love shared by her parents. "Seeing the love between you and Daddy made us girls dream about our future princes who would one day sweep us off our feet! You made sure we knew we could call you anytime about anything (and you still do!) and would stay up super late lending a listening ear to anything that might be on our hearts," says Jill.
Meanwhile, Jessa says she admires her mother's strength. Even though Michelle is loving, caring and compassionate, she knows the right time to be tough for her family.
But what Jessa truly loves about her mother is the spirit of God found in her.
"That is the most amazing thing about you! Jesus shines through you, and that is what is most attractive. Your words are uplifting and kind. His love flows through you to everyone you come into contact with. You are not a perfect person. You mess up like everybody else. But you are humble and are quick to make things right," says Jessa.
