Dr. Phil Invites Women of Faith to Hit Show

The popular "Dr. Phil" show will feature Women of Faith speakers as special guests to help women overcome their phobias on Tuesday's airing.

Women of Faith Spread 'Contagious Joining television psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw on Tuesday will be his wife Robin - author, sought-after public speaker, and a committed Christian.

Together, the McGraws along with six fellow Women of Faith speakers will offer their expertise to women on a show that ranks just behind The Oprah Winfrey Show in talk shows.

"We have so enjoyed getting to know and work with Robin and Dr. Phil this year; they're such real, down-to-earth people. Robin has been a significant addition to our conferences," said Women of Faith President Mary Graham in a released statement. "It was a delightful surprise to be invited to join the McGraws on the show, which reminded us a lot of Women of Faith conferences ... lots of laughter, gut-level honesty, some tears, and, most importantly, life change."

The invited women will be featured on the Oct. 3 "viewer questions" episode with topics including agoraphobia (the fear of leaving one's home), a wife's fear of her husband's dangerous hobby, and a segment on "germaphobia."

Women of Faith, America's largest women's conference, is currently drawing tens of thousands to their Contagious Joy conferences across the nation. Since 1996, they have drawn more than 3.2 million women in 80 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Women of Faith conferences are known to inspire mainly middle-aged women as speakers openly discuss their problems and remind women that God loves them.

Conferences are many times sold out and the demand for seats continues to rise. Women of Faith now holds about 35 conferences a year.

"Dr. Phil" is author of five No. 1 New York Times bestsellers and his show averages some 7 million viewers. His Tuesday guest shots on Oprah produced some of her best ratings. He signed on for another five years which will keep him on the airwaves through the 2013-2014 TV season.
