According to the Japanese PlayStation site, FromSoftware will be releasing patch 1.05 for "Bloodborne" on Monday, July 13. This will be added following a scheduled 5-hour maintenance period after which the patch will take effect in the game.
According to a report from VideoGamer, there are three main things that the new patch will address. First is an adjustment for players playing co-op. If the difference between the host's and guest's levels are too big, the guest's level will be raised to match that of the host. This will prevent instances wherein the guest's level is too low to deal any signficant damage to enemies, making that player depend entirely on the host to slog through the horde of enemies they encounter.
When a player initiates co-op via a Beckoning Bell or Small Resonant Bell with a password, patch 1.05 will add a new notification to confirm that a password is in use. This is a small but crucial change that makes the co-op process a lot quicker and smoother for gamers.
Patch 1.05 will also fix several bugs in the game and work on matching improvements.
The online mode for the game will be unavailable while the maintenance period and application of the patch is at work. However, gamers may still play the game's main campaign offline.
The patch is but one of many that fans can expect to get for "Bloodborne." According to a report from VideoGamer, patches aren't the only thing waiting for gamers as there are plans for a full-on DLC expansion but no details or release date have yet been announced.
"Bloodborne" is FromSoftware's spiritual successor to "Demon Souls" and the "Dark Souls" games, featuring similar aesthetics and brutally difficult gameplay. The game's story involves a character known as the Hunter as he travels through the city of Yharnam in an effort to rid the world of the "blood-borne" plague that is turning people into monsters.
