The tech giant released two new updates belonging to the Lollipop operating system in quick succession in order to alleviate the problems that users have been facing.

According to Google, upgrading to Lollipop 5.0 will bring about an abundance of changes to the overall interface and user experience of the operating system. In addition to assimilating a material design that will utilize fewer amounts of system resources, the Lollipop 5.0 will also bring about an improved notification system, a brand new messenger application, a killswitch feature and improved security contingencies that exceed the capabilities of the security measures present in the previous operating system updates. The OS also supports 64-bit architecture.

While none of the current Samsung devices are running a 64-bit capable processor, the company will be rolling out its upgraded Galaxy Note 4, which will be equipped with a Snapdragon 810 chipset and tri-band LTE modem. The chipset's processor will feature an octa-core processor that will be compatible with the 64-bit architecture, giving future owners some advantage when it comes to performance, energy efficiency and additional fluidity of the smartphone experience.
