Xbox One, Xbox 360 console bundles and game discounts online; Xbox Live Gold members discounts

Microsoft

It is like an all-year round holiday for Xbox fans and potential users, as the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles as well as Xbox games are still being offered at great discounts in various retailers.

Dell is offering the Xbox One "Assassin's Creed Unity" and "Assassin's Creed Black Flag" bundle for $349 with an additional $50 credit. The credit can be used when buying a new game title for the console. $349 is the holiday price of the Xbox One, $50 lower than the console's original price of $399.

Also, Microsoft cut the annual membership fee of Xbox Live Gold subscription to attract new members. Instead of $60 a year, gamers can become a member for only $40. The Xbox Live Gold subscription is good for Xbox One and Xbox 360 game consoles and it gives members a generous 50 to 75 percent discount on some Xbox games.

In addition to the aforementioned discounts, Xbox Live Gold members are also treated to free games each month. This March, "Rayman Legends" is free for Xbox One users, and "Tomb Raider" and "Bioshock Infinite" are free for Xbox 360 owners. Moreover, members will also get access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube and HBO Go. It is still unknown as to when the deal will end as the fine print does not indicate any "end of sale" date.

In the U.K., the Xbox One with a limited edition of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" is now available for £300 ($590). Also, it comes with a "Forza 5 GOTY Edition" download code. This console has twice the storage capacity than the conventional 500 GB and it has an exclusive gold and gray controller.

Xbox One sales overshadowed and beaten its rivals PlayStation 4 and Wii U. Microsoft has been treating gamers with discounts since October last year, and it seems that the company is offering continuous promotions to keep the gap in the sales of its consoles and that of its competitors.
