One of the new things that players of "Rocket League" are waiting for is the new patch for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions, which are scheduled to roll out anytime soon. However, there are speculations that aside from a patch, developer Psyonix may also be thinking of introducing the much-awaited Xbox One version of the title this month.r

According to VG247, the current-gen Microsoft console version of the Psyonix soccer-and-mayhem title is already being tested and is scheduled to arrive in the middle of February. When Psyonix announced the version release late last year, the developer pegged an early 2016 release date. However, there was no specific roll-out date mentioned.

The industry follower said that while Psyonix still hasn't decided on a release date yet, the developer is still confirming its mid-February target. Answering a fan query, the official "Rocket League" Twitter account said, "We're currently going through the certification process with @ID_Xbox. Mid-February is still our target. Glad you're excited!"

Meanwhile, GottaBeMobile added that while developing the Xbox One version, Psyonix has't forgotten to add new content to the current versions for the PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam). Psyonix has just released a playlist for "Rocket League" players called the Rocket Labs. This feature allows players to test content before they come out, as a somewhat limited version of an alpha and beta testing programs for other games. Playing through Rocket Labs will have players access unannounced content like new maps, game modes still in development, and also check out upcoming in-game items still unlocked prior to DLC releases.

The industry follower also mentioned that while still a new feature, Rocket Labs already has new content available for players. Reportedly, players can already check out new maps, while the upcoming February update will add more content to the new feature.
