'Yooka-Laylee' free DLC promised if Kickstarter campaign reaches £2 million

Playtonic Games surpassed its initial £175,000 goal on Kickstarter, having reached a whopping £1,558,841 total pledge for its game "Yooka-Laylee." Now, the game developer announced that the title will come out with an innuendo-filled supporting character named Trowzer.

Gamespot reported that the companion character is a trouser-wearing snake that is described as a "flash, wheeler dealing serpent."

Playtonic Games' creative head Gavin Price talked about Trowzer in the game's official website, saying, "Trowzer thinks of himself as the best salesman ever, but with his downbeat appearance and 1980's mobile phone, life never took off for him. He'll take your money and count it (he's an Adder...) and because he knows best he'll even demonstrate the moves you just bought for you to replicate... if you can follow his jiggling."

Steve Mayles, the artist who created the character, also explained the design process when he was creating Trowzer. Mayles said that he wanted Trowzer to veer away from the traditional snake appearance.

"Gav suggested he should have shorts on (do I have to add shorts to all of my characters?!), a great idea for this was his body could curl back up through the other leg hole. So he'll move with a certain springiness, which will be fun to animate," Mayles stated.

Meanwhile, the game developer also announced that if their Kickstarter campaign reaches the £2 million mark, they will be giving a free DLC to all the supporters of the video game once the main project is completed.

"Yooka-Laylee" is an action-adventure 3D platform game that features two main characters named Yooka and Laylee who go on a thrilling journey together. It is developed by the same minds behind the widely successful "Banjo-Kazooie" that was released in 1998.

The game is expected to be released for PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox One, PC, and Mac in October 2016.
