Despite his dazzling debut at the "Royal Rumble," it still looks as though A.J. Styles will not be a late addition to "WWE 2K16."

Recently, a fan posed a question to the game's official Twitter account, asking if Styles may potentially be added to the game as downloadable content (DLC).

In response, the game's official Twitter account said that all the DLC for the game had been "locked in ages ago," meaning adding Styles now would not be realistic.

According to Lazygamer, the process behind adding a new wrestler to "WWE 2K16" can be a lengthy one, thus making the prospect of introducing Styles now such a difficult proposition.

Still, even if Styles will not be featured in "WWE 2K16," there's still a chance that the new World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Superstar could be included in a future WWE game.

Styles is not the only current WWE Superstar whose absence from "WWE 2K16" has been noticed by fans.

Previously, fans have also criticized the developers for leaving some WWE Divas out of the game.

According to 2K, some WWE Divas, including Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair, were not included in the game for "various reasons."

Similar to Styles, Banks and Flair may soon be introduced to the WWE video game franchise in the future, although they will likely be featured in an upcoming title.

While some wrestling fans are lamenting the lack of some of their favorite Superstars and Divas, there are still new characters being added to "WWE 2K16."

The "Future Stars Pack" for "WWE 2K16" is now available and it is adding five new WWE Superstars to the game, according to GameSpot.

Headlining the "Future Stars Pack" is current NXT standout Samoa Joe. Other characters included in the recently released DLC pack are Blake and Murphy, as well as Diego and Fernando, who are otherwise known as the two members of Los Matadores.

The "Future Stars Pack" can be purchased on its own for $8. Players can also opt to get it as part of "WWE 2K16's" season pass that is on sale for $25.
