Windows 10 is on track to receive a new update.

The upcoming "Fall Update" as many tech pundits have dubbed it, according to Computer World, is set to arrive sometime on Thursday.

As of now, Microsoft has not provided a changelog for the update, leaving many to wonder what they can expect from it. Many tech experts believe that the upcoming update will provide improvements that will directly affect the operating system's user interface and the experience of those who will be using it, although they too are lacking thus far in specifics.

The "Fall Update" comes at the heels of Microsoft releasing a batch of security fixes for Windows 10 earlier in the week.

It also appears that the new update will be quite significant.

According to Neowin, Microsoft has already started to update many of their apps that are available on both the mobile and desktop versions of Windows 10.

Unfortunately, these updates too have arrived with no changelogs, which could mean that they were relatively minor fixes released mainly to pave the way for the smooth landing of the eagerly anticipated "Fall Update."

News about the upcoming major update being delivered to the Windows 10 also arrives just shortly after some recent controversy enveloped the relatively new operating system.

According to Forbes, there were Windows 7 and 8 users who had sent in claims that the Windows 10 had been self-installing on their computers despite the fact that they did not provide any permission for it.

The issue would reportedly begin after the affected computer was restarted following the installation of a system update. Users say they would walk up to their computers and already see that the Windows 10 was already in the process of being installed.

Microsoft claims that the issue emerged as a result of bug and that the problem has now been fixed.

Seismic elections in the UK – the good, the bad and the ugly

I would suggest that, leaving out the hyperbole, these are the most significant elections since Maggie Thatcher was elected – or perhaps the Brexit referendum. What can Christians make of it all?
