Wrestlemania 32 rumors: The Rock involved in Roman Reigns vs. Triple H main event?

None other than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson himself may be lending his substantial star power to help make the main event of WrestleMania 32 even more special.

The Rock is officially set to appear at WrestleMania 32, but his role has yet to be defined, leading fans and analysts to speculate that he may have a role in the show's main event.

As of now, rumors currently suggest that the WrestleMania 32 main event will most likely feature World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) World Heavyweight Champion Triple H defending his title against Roman Reigns, Cageside Seats reported.

The main event is far from officially set at this point, although it will become a reality if Reigns wins the triple threat match taking place at Fast Lane that also involves Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar.

Should Reigns win the Fast Lane match as expected, he will have an opportunity to win back the title he lost to Triple H at last month's Royal Rumble.

While a Reigns–Triple H main event would make sense from a storyline standpoint, there is a belief that the match could take a disastrous turn if the fans decide to turn on the challenger.

As The Inquisitr noted, the fans have already expressed their disdain for Reigns in the past, most notably during the 2015 Royal Rumble after the crowd booed him mercilessly even after he won the over-the-top rope contest.

Reigns has also been the target of fan outrage in recent months, even being booed in matches when he was the de-facto "good guy."

This is where The Rock comes in.

The Rock is one of the WWE's most beloved performers and he throwing his support behind Reigns could help gain the challenger more adoration from the fans.

Interestingly enough, the WWE has tried to leverage The Rock's popularity to help Reigns in the past and the result back then was far from positive. The Rock famously appeared near the end of the 2015 Royal Rumble to help Reigns claim the win, but the fans still booed the result.

If that happens again during the WrestleMania 32 main event, then the aftermath may be disastrous for both Reigns and the WWE.
