The Steam Winter Sale is now underway, and with it comes numerous games available at significantly discounted prices.
This year's Steam Winter Sale will be running all the way through to Jan. 4, giving gamers about two weeks to stock up on all the titles they have held off on buying until now.
According to GameSpot, the Steam Winter Sale will not be featuring any daily deals, meaning eager buyers don't need to mess around since all titles that will be available at discounted prices are already available now.
Gamers can also collect some Winter Sale-themed trading cards that will also only be available up until Jan. 4.
As for the games themselves, there's obviously a lot for shoppers to choose from.
Ars Technica has taken the time to highlight their own list of 50 games that players should buy during the Steam Winter Sale.
The list is quite extensive, and includes titles from different genres, so no matter what type of games a player prefers, there's something they will probably like from the selection.
Some highlights of the list include the open world role-playing game (RPG) classic "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," which is currently available for just $4.99.
Players looking for a first-person shooter to try out can get "Borderlands 2" currently on sale for $4.99 as well.
For those looking for a sportier title, they can look into purchasing "Rocket League," which is now available for $13.99.
Aside from the numerous other games on sale, Valve has also released a new comic known as "Gingerbread Jake In: North Pole Noir," which can be seen here.
The new comic appears to be nothing more than entertainment, although some fans have speculated that there may be more to it than meets the eye.
According to Kotaku, fascination around the comic has gotten to the point that there's now even a Subreddit devoted to discussing and parsing through its individual pages.
