'Star Wars Episode 8' spoilers: Learn more about possible cast members of upcoming film

"Star Wars Episode 8" may still be more than two years away, but that doesn't mean that fans haven't constantly wondered about what to expect from the upcoming film.

The cast of the upcoming film in particular is still in doubt as there are legitimate questions as to who might be staying on as part of the movie and which new actors and actresses might be primed to join the ensemble.

Back at the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" premiere, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy revealed that all the cast members on hand for the event would also be part of the next movie. That bit of news by itself is not all too surprising, but it's worth noting that Harrison Ford was also on hand for the premiere.

Kennedy's comment could mean that Ford will still be part of "Star Wars Episode 8" in some capacity, and as Digital Spy notes, he could be featured in flashback sequences shown during the course of the film.

As for who might be the new cast members featured in "Star Wars Episode 8," one name that's been mentioned quite often is that of Benicio del Toro. The actor has long been rumored to be a part of the next film, and rumors currently suggest that he might be a villain.

Aside from del Toro, Bel Powler, star of "Diary of a Teenage Girl," has also been mentioned as a possible addition to the cast of "Star Wars Episode 8."

Powley would reportedly be taking on the role that was previously attached to Gugu Mbatha-Raw, according to Screen Rant.

It's also currently unclear what role Powley would actually take should she be added to "Star Wars Episode 8" cast and fans might not receive any new word about it until well into filming.

With "Star Wars Episode 8" not set to premiere until May 26, 2018, fans can expect the rumor mill to continually churn out new details about who may be part of and who may be getting left out of the upcoming film.
