Sequels are most likely in the cards for "Star Wars Battlefront," at least according to one Electronic Arts (EA) executive.

While speaking at the UBS Global Technology Conference, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen indicated that there will most likely be more "Star Wars Battlefront" games coming in the future, Gamespot reported.

Even though EA has not said anything official prior to Jorgensen's comments in terms of their future plans for the "Star Wars Battlefront" franchise, plenty of fans still assumed that the newly released game would simply be the first of many, especially considering the lengthy deal EA struck with Disney to gain access to the "Star Wars" franchise.

According to Jorgensen, EA has a variety of ideas in the works in terms of what games they could make based on the "Star Wars" franchise. According to him, the company is looking into developing other games that will utilize different styles based on the "Star Wars" franchise. He also revealed that those other titles may end up not just on consoles and PCs, as they are also looking into the mobile platforms.

During his speech, Jorgensen also reiterated that EA will not simply be making games that can be tied into whatever movies based on the "Star Wars" franchise Disney also has in the works.

In related news, the first expansion pack coming to "Star Wars Battlefront" is now expected to be released in early 2016, according to Screen Rant.

Previously, EA has detailed their downloadable content (DLC) plans for "Star Wars Battlefront," revealing that they will be releasing four expansion packs for the game.

The expansion packs themselves will contain a considerable amount of content, which will include 16 additional multiplayer as well as four new game modes and more playable characters. There will also be a variety of other items included in the expansion packs.

While the season pass for "Star Wars Battlefront" will be available for $50, EA has yet to announce how much each individual expansion pack will cost.
