Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, tabPRO pre-order, price: Verizon to offer 12.2inch tablet with 4G LTE connectivity Feb. 13

The big news this week is that the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro has done a sneaky release in the UK and is set to launch in the US on February 13, just in time to make a super Valentine's gift.

As if it were not exciting enough to have one new tablet coming out, Samsung is giving people the option of the Galaxy  Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, and the smaller Galaxy Tab Pro.

The Note Pro comes with the S-pen and also handy is the Remote PC app that enables owners to use the tablet to access and control their home or office Windows PC.

The NotePRO is clearly aimed at the business market.  While the Tab Pro and Tab Pro 10.1 come with a manageable $400 and $500 price tag, the Galaxy NotePro starts at $750 for the 32GB model but if you want the 64GB version it will set you back $850.

The 12.2-inch Tab Pro will be retailing at $650 so it's also going to be out of the impulse buy league.

In the UK, the NotePRO retailed at £649 making it one of the most expensive tablets on the market and more expensive than its US release.

But there are a lot of reasons why it will be tempting to consumers despite the price.  It comes with a stunning 12.2-inch LCD panel and 2560x1600 pixel resolution display and on the inside, it's powered by a Exynos octa-core processor, alongside the Android 4.4 KitKat OS.  It also features Samsung's Magazine UX interface an 8 megapixel camera.

The option of a Galaxy Perks package offering subscriptions to services like Bloomberg BusinessWeek and 50GB of DropBox space for two years gives it an additional business edge.

According to Phandroid.com, Samsung has confirmed that Verizon will be the first to offer the NotePro 12.2 with 4G LTE connectivity.

@evleaks leaked an image of the Verizon version of the NotePro, but with the non-LTE edition being priced at $750 and $800, there's every chance the 4G version will come with a hefty $1000 price tag.  Not for people looking for a tablet to throw in their manbag or handbag to check their Facebook on the go.

Walmart has only the 32GB version of the NotePRO available to pre-order, priced $749.99 and available here

Both the 32GB and 64GB versions are available to pre-order from Amazon here

Walmart and Amazon are both offering free shipping on their pre-orders.

No sign of a pre-order page on the Best Buy website yet.
