'Pokken Tournament' news: Dark Mewtwo spotted

The Pokémon fighting game, otherwise known as "Pokken Tournament," appears to have one mysterious creature that not all audiences have gotten a chance to see before.

The Pokémon in question is none other than Dark Mewtwo.

As one would expect from Dark Mewtwo, the new Pokémon appears to be very powerful. It also looks as though Dark Mewtwo is a boss character inside the game, although it is unclear if the mysterious Pokémon is even playable or unlockable inside "Pokken Tournament."

It's also unclear if Dark Mewtwo is a new Pokémon specifically designed to only appear in the game or if it may make other appearances outside of it, according to Gamespot.

Mewtwo is among the most recognizable Pokémons in the history of the franchise, meaning transitioning his new identity into something outside of the game would most likely be easier than it would be for other lesser known creatures included in the franchise.

As of now, people outside of Japan can only hope to one day be able to go up against Dark Mewtwo as "Pokken Tournament" is currently available only in arcades inside Japan.

The good news is that it will not stay that way for good.

A Wii U version of "Pokken Tournament" is currently in development and the best part for fans is that it will reportedly be made available all over the world.

According to Geek Snack, the Wii U port of "Pokken Tournament" will be made available in all regions and it is also expected to be released in the spring of 2016. Unfortunately, a specific date for the game's release has yet to be identified.

Images related to the game have already been leaked previously and they show some of the names of the moves inside "Pokken Tournament."

More news about "Pokken Tournament" is expected to come out in the near future.
