Fans who have been waiting to learn more about the PlayStation VR will definitely want to tune in to Sony's PlayStation Experience event this coming weekend.

A PlayStation VR panel participants are expected to discuss a variety of topics concerning the device, IGN reported. The developers of PlayStation VR themselves will be taking part in the panel and they are expected to touch on topics related to the future of the device.

The PlayStation VR panel will run for about 40 minutes, with Anton Mikhailov of Media Molecule and London Studio's Dave Ranyard, among others, hosting the event.

Aside from the panel, fans can look forward to other events that will be taking place at the PlayStation Experience.

According to the official PlayStation blog, the entire weekend's slate of events, which will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, will begin with delivery of a keynote message taking place at 10 a.m. PST on Dec. 5. The company has yet to officially announce the contents of the keynote presentation, so fans will simply have to stay tuned to find that out for themselves.

At the conclusion of the keynote presentation, fans will be treated to several more developer panels, interviews, and demos of games coming to PlayStation 4.

More than 100 games are expected to be made playable at PlayStation Experience, so there will be a lot of sampling to do for those who will be able to attend the event in person. Some lucky fans may even be able to try out the PlayStation VR for themselves during the weekend event.

Fans who will not be able to attend PlayStation Experience don't need to worry as the entire event will be streamed all the way through Saturday and Sunday, allowing viewers to join in even from the comfort of their own homes.
