'One Punch Man' season 2 premiere: Series could make its return to television in December

Season 2 of "One Punch Man" may be making its return to television in December of this year.

That's the latest rumor concerning the show making the rounds right now, and there's at least some reason to believe that it may be valid.

According to "One Punch Man" illustrator Yusuke Murata, the team behind the show is working hard to ensure that there will be a second season of the popular anime series.

Unfortunately, even though Murata and the rest of the team may be especially driven to make the second season of "One Punch Man," that still does not guarantee that there will be a show for fans to watch by the end of the year as the rumors have suggested.

As The BitBag noted, it can take anywhere between six months to two years to complete a single season of an anime series, and if that is indeed the case, then a December premiere for "One Punch Man's" next offering may be more optimistic than realistic.

It's also worth noting that the December release date for "One Punch Man's" second season is more of a guess at this point.

That's because the folks behind the show itself have yet to confirm any kind of release date for "One Punch Man's" second season, Design and Trend reported.

Still, the enthusiasm fans have for the show should prompt its creators to speed up the process, but until official word comes down, the December premiere date remains a wish as opposed to being a set-in-stone target.

As for what the second season of "One Punch Man" may feature, rumors regarding the show suggest that there may be new villains for Saitama to overcome when the series returns.

Amai Mask and Garou may show up as foes for Saitama to deal with in the next installment of "One Punch Man" and those encounters should give fans some exciting scenes to enjoy.

More news about "One Punch Man" should be made available in the future.
