'Metal Gear Online' news: 3new maps and one playable character added via 'Cloaked in Silence' expansion pack

 Konami

A new expansion pack will be made available to "Metal Gear Online" players soon.

The upcoming expansion pack, known as "Cloaked in Silence," will be adding a variety of new content to the game.

First off, three new maps taken out of "Metal Gear Solid V's" single player mode will now be added to the game's online component, according to Konami.

The first new map is known as Coral Complex. Set in the Motherbase, Coral Complex will provide players with an environment that can be as suitable for open-area combat as it is for stealth-based fighting.

The second map, known as Rust Palace, is set in Afghanistan. In Rust Palace, players will have to traverse through the inner confines of an old building as they scramble to find cover and struggle to gain an advantage over their foes.

Last up, "Metal Gear Online" will also be adding a new map known Azure Mountain. While playing the Azure Mountain map, players will be taken to an African plain offering little cover and refuge as they deal with their opponents.

Also being added to "Metal Gear Online" via the "Cloaked in Silence" expansion pack is a new playable character.

Upon downloading the upcoming expansion pack, players will now be able to utilize Quiet and her elite sniping skills to eliminate foes with ruthless efficiency.

The "Cloaked in Silence" expansion pack will be available for $3.99. Konami has yet to announce an exact release date for the expansion pack, although it is expected to arrive sometime in March.

In addition, the "Cloaked in Silence" expansion pack will also be made available to the last generation ports of "Metal Gear Online," according to Slash Gear.

Konami is also adding a new mission to "Metal Gear Online" known as Sabotage. Sabotage will not be part of the "Cloaked in Silence" expansion pack. Instead, "Metal Gear Online" players will be receiving the new mission as part of a free game update.
