LG V10 vs. Sony Xperia Z5 specs comparison: What the two phones have to offer

LG and Sony are some of the biggest names in the smartphone industry, and taking a closer look at some of their newer devices can help provide people with a better idea of which offering is best for them.

This time around, it will be the LG V10 going up against Sony's Xperia Z5.

Starting off with the processors of the two smartphones, LG's V10 will be featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 chipset complete with a quad-core CPU, according to GSM Arena. On the other hand, Sony's Xperia Z5 will have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset and that will be paired together with an octa-core processor.

Moving on to the memory capacities of the two phones, the LG V10 will have 4 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage, although that can be raised all the way up to 128 GB with the addition of a microSD card. Sony's Xperia Z5 will have 3 GB of RAM together with 32 GB of internal storage, although that too can be expanded this time all the way up to 200 GB using a microSD card.

In terms of cameras, LG's V10 will have a primary camera shooting at 16 megapixels and that is complemented by a front-facing camera that takes pictures at five megapixels. As for the Sony Xperia Z5, its rear camera provides 23 megapixels for photos while its secondary camera also provides five megapixels.

The LG V10 has a 5.7 inch-IPS LCD screen, while the Xperia Z5 has the 5.5 4K UHD display.

LG's V10 features efficient battery charging, capable of providing 50 percent in just 40 minutes. The Sony Xperia Z5 is equipped with a fingerprint sensor to help provide limited access to unauthorized users.

Both of the phones also feature the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, although they could also receive the recently released Marshmallow update in the very near future.
