LG G3 specs: Leaked photo reveals 5.5 inch QHD display set for September launch

The LG G3 would outsize the LG G2 if the rumors turn out to be true

A new leaked photo of a benchmark supposedly being carried on an LG G3 has added weight to rumors that the next flagship device from LG come with a 2560x1440 display resolution.

The photo was reported by AndroidandMe.com, which also suggested followers weren't that excited because the display may end up zapping battery life.

Engadget reports that the LG G3 display is likely to be 5.5-inch and a very glossy 530 ppi.

The Sprint network was reporting to consumers that the device would run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with four 2.3GHz and 3GB or RAM.

The 32GB standard internal storage can be ramped up to 64GB using a microSD card.

And while the front-facing camera will be 2.1 megapixel, the rear camera will be 13 megapixel.

The Korea Times was reporting that the device would come with a fingerprint scanner.

It's already been circulating that the display would be 2560x1440 and if it's true, then that will represent a pretty decent scale up from the LG G2, which has a 1920x1080 display.

September is being floated as the release month, but no confirmation from the Korean company yet.

But the rumored specs could make the LG G3 a real threat to Samsung Galaxy S5's market share.

Samsung's flagship device launched to much fanfare a few days back but by comparison only sports a 1080p screen with a pixel density of 432ppi.
