Filming for "John Wick 2," the sequel to the 2014 hit action movie, is currently taking place.

According to MNR Daily, several photos that have surfaced online show the film's star, Keanu Reeves, shooting scenes in various locations all over New York City.

Some of the photos even involve iconic New York locations such as Central Park.

The photos themselves don't really reveal much about the upcoming film. As folks might have expected have already, some of the shots simply show Reeves beating up on unknown assailants, although some photos also reveal that a dog will be part of the next film, which may be exciting to fans who caught the original "John Wick" movie.

Interestingly enough, some of the photos of "John Wick 2" that have leaked online also show that Reeves may be reuniting with a former co-star.

Some photos shared by Gothamist show that none other than former "Matrix" star Laurence Fishburne is also on the set of "John Wick 2." The news is significant mainly because of the connection between Reeves and Fishburne, although it's also worth noting that the latter's role in the movie has yet to be determined.

Fans will have to stay tuned to see just how Fishburne and Reeves will interact in "John Wick 2," and if the two may even pay a bit of a homage to their "Matrix" roots.

Details about the story of "John Wick 2" have yet to surface, so fans are still largely unaware of what it will be about. Most fans currently expect the sequel to go deeper into the world of assassins, possibly providing ample background on the titular character himself.

There's currently no announced premiere date for "John Wick 2," but the fact that filming for the sequel is currently underway should indicate that the movie will be hitting theaters sooner rather than later.
